TURKISH CULTURAL PROGRAM

The Tennessee World Affairs Council is pleased to announce its selection to participate in the 2009 WACA/Turkish Cultural Foundation program for educators. 

  • Teachers Workshop in the Spring

  • Six Teachers to Turkey in the Summer

  • "Portrait of Turkey" Program in the Fall

The Turkish Cultural Program teachers' workshop was held April 25, 2009 in Cookeville, Tennessee.

Six highly qualified teachers from Tennessee were selected to participate in a funded study tour to Turkey along with educators from other World Affairs Councils in the summer of 2009.

Portrait of Turkey Workshop

The "Portrait of Turkey" will provide more information on Turkish culture and allow the teachers who visited Turkey in the summer to share their impressions of and experiences in Turkey.
