The Tennessee World Affairs Council is pleased to announce it was chosen again by the Turkish Culture Foundation and the World Affairs Councils of America to participate in the 2009 Teacher Study Tour to Turkey.  

We are putting together details for teachers who are interested in applying for this special opportunity.  CHECK BACK FOR MORE INFO AFTER FEB 23RD.

Part one of the program is a teachers' workshop on April 25, 2009 for educators from any Tennessee K-12 school.  It will take place in Cookeville, Tennessee. (Venue TBD)

Part two is the summer study tour for six Tennessee educators.

The third segment consists of a program called the "Portrait of Turkey" which will provide more information on Turkish culture and allow the teachers who visited Turkey in the summer to share their impressions of and experiences in Turkey.
